| Interlocking tower on IRT Flushing Line at 65 Street, Woodside. Fisk interlocking was a local/express switchover just east (north) of the 61 Street-Woodside express station. Fisk interlocking was replaced with 74th Street interlocking in 2007 to allow expresses to change over and stop at 74 Street-Broadway (a major transfer station to buses and the IND Queens Boulevard main line - E/F/M/R) if necessary. 74th Street interlocking was initially controlled remotely from 111th Street Tower and now from the central Rail Control Center (RCC) as of May 2021. |
